When creating a design to suit my customer I decided to make a range which summarised of evening wear as well as day wear. I created this dress which is made up of several layers of circular skirts; paired with a sweet heart bust line and knotted shoulder straps. The dress has took colour inspiration for my beautiful object braille by using a two tone white and grey ombre colour pallet.
Technologies have been used in the dress such as the embroidery pattern ' I am Beautiful placed on alternate skirt panels. It was important that the colour of the garment was calm in order to emphasise the pattern created by the braille embroidery and that it wouldn't draw attention away from the fine knots on the shoulders of the dress. The sweetheart neckline integrates the ideas of curves, the skirt follows a circular pattern and all of the embellishments pay homage to the 'circular theme' which runs throughout the collection in order to represent the beautiful object.
