When creating my second garment I wanted to focus n day wear that was durable, funcitionable and interesting. After investigating into problems my target market has with clothing fastenings were a huge problem. I have invented a braille button system and used it to create a playful, detachable pocket on the front of the garment. This pocket can be removed from the garment to show an A- line skirt with added fullness or it can remain as a full functioning pocket at the front of the garment.
I have chose to create this garment in 'Storm Denim' which rids the item of creasing and has anti stain properties. Due to these technologies I chose to make this skirt in the colour white as my customer often swayed away from buying light colours due to risk of stains. This technology has opened the colour spectrum up to my audience and made this fashion more accessible.
The detachable pocket can come in a variety of different versions such as the embroidered detail pocket, the quilted fabric pocket or the multi laser cut patch pocket variety.
